PEACE POSTER CONTEST
THEME: PEACE WITHOUT LIMITS
Creating peace posters gives children, ages 11-13, the chance to creatively express their visions of what peace means to them and inspire the world through art and creativity. Arts On Main is proud to host the annual local Peace Poster Contest sponsored by the Van Buren Lions Club. This year’s theme is “Peace Without Limits”. The winner of the local contest will automatically advance to the district judging level with opportunity to advance to the Lions International Peace Poster Contest. LEARN MORE.

Contest Rules & Conditions
Eligibility
Open to students who will be 11, 12 or 13 years of age on Nov. 15, 2024.
Awards
The winners will be invited to an Awards Ceremony to be held during the Van Buren Lions Club monthly meeting on October 16, 2024.
First Place $100
Second Place $50
Third Place $25
First place winner automatically advances to the District level judging.
Entry
Free to enter.
Artist may submit only 1 entry.
Artwork must be the individual student’s original creation and the work of only one student.
Complete and submit entry form with submission.
Theme
The contest’s theme is “Peace Without Limits.”
Media
All media are accepted (no 3D media). Note: Chalk, charcoal and pastel entries should be sealed with a fixative spray to prevent smearing. DO NOT Laminate entries.
Artwork Preparation
Artwork size must be no smaller than 13 inches by 20 inches and no larger than 20 inches by 24 inches.
Artwork should be done on a flexible matrials so it can be rolled for shipping in a mailing tub. Do not fold poster.
Do not mat or frame artwork.
Nothing may be glued, stapled or attached to the artwork in any way.
The use of lettering or numbering on the front of the poster, in any language, is not allowed.
Artist signatures or initials should be written on the back of the poster.

Drop-off artwork with completed entry form in the Arts On Main Lobby between October 1 -5, daily 11a - 6p.
