ENTRY FEE: Each entry $10 or three for $25
ENTRY RULES :
Open to all artists 18 & Over.
Entry deadline August 26th, 5pm. Late entries will not be accepted.
Each artist may enter a total of three (3) works. Work must be original, executed in the last two years; and not previously exhibited in the Center For Art & Education Adult Artist Competition. No wet paintings will be hung.
Copies and work done in a classroom or workshop WILL NOT be accepted.
All work must be ready to hang with eye hooks and wires. NO saw-tooth hangers
Height plus width of finished work, including frame, cannot exceed 80 inches.
Juror and Gallery Committee will determine which works are hung.
REMOVAL:
All work, including sold pieces, MUST REMAIN at the Center For Art & Education until show ends, no exceptions will be made.
Every precaution will be taken in handling works of art. However, CAE will not be held responsible for loss or damage. Your entry implies acceptance of all CAE policies and regulations.
ENTRY FORMS:
Complete 2 entry forms for each piece of art submitted.
Attach one form to the top left hand corner on the back of each piece of art.
Give second form to person checking in art.
TIME LINE:
Artwork will be accepted: August 28,29.30 10am - 5pm
Pick Up dates: October 2nd & 3rd, 10am - 4pm
Opening Reception: Sunday, Sept. 9,1pm - 4pm
Awards Ceremony: Sunday, Sept. 9, 2pm
SALES:
CAE will promote sales. We encourage you to enter work that can be sold. CAE retains 25% on each piece sold.
MEDIA:
Works in transparent watercolor, oil, acrylic, graphics (including pen & ink, pastel, charcoal, colored pencil & print making), mixed media and found object art will be accepted. Art will not be separated into categories.
AWARDS:
Richard & Helen Hodo Juror’s Choice $500; 1st Place, $250; 2nd Place, $150; 3rd Place, $100; other specialized awards will also be presented.
Art will be on display September 5-28, 2012.
