Guidelines


ENTRY FEE
$10 per entry (for CAE members); $20 per entry  for non-members*
$25 for three entries (for CAE members); $50 for three entries for non-members*

ENTRY RULES:
Open to all artists 18 & over.
Artists making art sales of $5000 or more are considered professional artists and are not eligible for this competition.
Entry deadline is August 31st at 6pm, (Late entries will not be accepted.)
Each artist may enter three works.
Art work must be original.  Work found to be a copy will be disqualified and awards rescinded.  Work must have been executed in the last two years and not previously exhibited CAE Adult Artist Competition.
No wet paintings will be accepted.
Art work done in a classroom or workshop WILL NOT be accepted.
All work must be ready to hang with eye hooks and wires.  NO saw-tooth hangers.
Height plus width of finished work, including frame, cannot exceed 80 inches.
Gallery Committee will determine which works are  included in the exhibition and how they are displayed.

MEDIA — Works in watercolor, oil, acrylic, pen & ink, pastel, charcoal, colored pencil, print making, mixed media and found object art will be accepted.  Digital or computer generated art will not be accepted in this competition. Art will not be separated into categories.

SALES
CAE will promote sales.  We encourage you to enter work that can be sold.  CAE retains 30% of the purchase price of each piece sold.

REMOVAL
All work, including sold pieces, MUST REMAIN at the Center For Art & Education until show ends.  No exceptions will be made. Every precaution will be taken in handling works of art.  However, CAE will not be held responsible for loss or damage.  Your entry implies acceptance of all CAE policies and regulations.

ENTRY FORMS
Two entry forms (enclosed) required for each piece of art.
Attach one form on the top left-hand corner on the back of each piece of art; submit the second form when checking in the art. See link below to print forms.
