Description of workshop: Carol Cooper will present a series of fun and simple watercolor techniques just right for a beginner in watercolor. For those with some experience, the workshop will provide some new ideas and techniques. Carol will show a series of small step-by-step painting projects that will not only acquaint but inspire potential watercolorists. Carol hopes you will join her for this fun and artistic experience.
Materials: There will be free paint samples and paper available compliments of Cheap Joe’s Art Stuff. However, please ask for a complete materials list.
Materials list:
#8 or #10 round watercolor brush (Loew-Cornell, synthetic)
1” flat brush (synthetic)
Cardboard or foam core (9 x 12) to support paper
Plastic container for water
If you wish to bring your own paints, a good beginner set is a Prang Semi-moist,
16-color pan set.
White Styrofoam plate to mix on
Paper towels
Apron
Hair dryer
½” masking tape (inexpensive)
