PINE NEEDLE BASKETRY with LYNNE HATTABAUGH
Saturday, February 13
Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm • Fee: $35
• Materials: $16.95
This is an introductory class to basket making
by coiling pine needles together and sewing with
needle and thread. Students will finish the weaving
of a small pine coil basket.
WOVEN REED BASKETS with
FREDA MILLER
Saturday, February 27
Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm • Fee: $35
Embracing a breathtaking range of new techniques,
styles, and materials, beautiful basketry offers
more options than ever before. Freda will share
some of the basic techniques needed to weave beautiful
baskets.
OIL
PAINTING with BARRY THOMAS
Saturday, February 20th
Time: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm • Fee: $150
Impressionist artist, Barry Thomas, floods his
canvases with light, vibrant energy and vivid
color. His broad, heavily impastoed brush strokes
create tender, moving scenes of mothers and children
and larger than life still lifes. Students will
learn some of Thomas techniques in this one day
workshop. Thomas studied at the Art Center College
of Design in California. (Limited Space Available)
DRAWING with LIN CHEN
Saturday, March 13 & 20
Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm • Fee: $40
One
Day Intensive Drawing Class - This intensive class
is designed for individuals with little or no
prior drawing training and perhaps believe that
learning to draw well is only possible for those
lucky people with "inborn talent". However,
it has been proven that the global skill of drawing
any perceived object, person or place requires
five basic component perceptual skills. Lin will
teach some of the skills she has learned from
the book “Drawing on the Right Side of the
Brain” along with some of her own proven
techniques.
MAKING BOOKS with KATIE

What exactly is an “artist’s book”?
The book form has been around for centuries of
course, but the book as a work of art is a relatively
new genre. Join Katie Harper as she teachers the
art of book making.

4:00 pm • Fee: $325
Timothy
Clark will conduct a three day workshops that
will focus on drawing, color, design and painting.
Clark will give a fresh insight to the world of
painting from his forty plus years of painting
and teaching. He will reflect on your work in
critiques and offer personal help. He was recently
listed as one of the top twenty watercolor teachers
in America by Watercolor magazine. Several publications
in the last year including Art Times and Fine
Art Connoisseur have referred to Timothy Clark
as “a living master.” Students from
all mediums will benefit from this workshop.

Janet Frankovic will be presenting a special workshop
designed to improve drawing and painting skills.
Janet travels extensively to teach and to study.
She has attended the life classes at the Art Students
